The English Language Center recently launched several new initiatives and programs specifically designed to support our growing refugee and immigrant populations in the local community. PROGRAMS
Intensive English Program
A rigorous full-time Intensive English Program designed for students who want to develop the academic English proficiency necessary to succeed in ODU's undergraduate and graduate programs.
MET (Monarch English Transition) PROGRAMS
The ELC matches international students and Americans so they can practice each other's native language or learn about each other's culture in informal settings. Participants in the program meet with their Conversation Partner for at least thirty minutes each week at a time and place that is convenient to both students.
